Landslide Ensenada Baja, California

via RSOE

A section of coastal highway south of Tijuana and north of Ensenada collapsed Saturday after several small earthquakes and recent rains, according to geologists. Engineers estimate it could take more than a year to repair the roadway, which could impact tourism and other aspects of the Baja economy. The toll road, known as Highway 1-D, was closed from La Mision toll gates to San Miguel toll gates, ABC 10 News in San Diego reported. Coastal traffic was detoured on the old free highway, Mexico 1.
