DAYLIGHT image: Comet ISON from southern California

via Spaceweather.com

Taken by Vince Victor on November 24, 2013 @ Southern Californian Mountains, cliff facing EAST

Details:
Comet ISON on November 24, 2013 - as seen from Southern California mountain range facing east. This comet was VERY hard to image and I had to line up Mercury and a variable star using measurements.
The comet was 2.5 degrees or so above the horizon when I snapped these photos.
These are the absolute LAST photos we will have before it reaches the Sun. After, we will be able to recover this guy if ISON survives at about the first week of December!
Canon Rebel T2i, unguided, carefully snapped 400ISO - 5 photos stacked 0.8 seconds exposure. Small blur on hill, comet is in full view in the VERY light pollution in the distance off the cliff.
First photo is the RAW photo, the second is an enhanced version showing more of the Comet and tail.
THIS COMET WAS VERY VERY HARD TO FIND AND A 5 MINUTE WINDOW IS WHAT WAS NEEDED!!! Dense Coma, all around great comet so far!

ENJOY!
